The insurance company ERGO has officially opened its new office in the Skanstes City business district, creating a modern, sustainable, and employee-friendly work environment. The new office spans more than 1,800 square meters and is arranged on a single floor to foster more efficient cross-departmental collaboration and facilitate internal communication. The space has been designed in line with contemporary workplace trends, ergonomics, and high sustainability standards.

The office was developed in close cooperation with Skanstes City, tailored to meet ERGO’s needs and brand identity, while harmoniously integrating into the broader development plans of the district. Additional infrastructure improvements—including a new conference center, modernized entrance areas, and upgraded outdoor spaces—were implemented to enhance the environment for all users of the district and ensure a comfortable, high-quality daily experience.

“New premises in a well-known and beloved location—Skanstes City—mark an important step in ensuring that our employees feel even better and more comfortable at the office. Given that ERGO operates under a flexible work model, including partial remote work, we’ve introduced a dedicated workplace reservation system in the new office to optimize space usage. Employees now also benefit from a wider variety of meeting rooms, improved sound insulation, and more functional and ergonomic workstations. Combined with modern design, these features will make our daily work not only more comfortable but also more efficient. We thank Skanstes City for more than a decade of successful collaboration and the entire project team for turning the dream of a new office into a beautiful reality,” says Aija Medne, Head of ERGO’s branches in Latvia.

“For Skanstes City, ERGO is a major and important tenant, so we’re especially pleased to continue our long-term cooperation with them by delivering new, first-class premises that meet ERGO Group standards and align with current sustainability and healthy workplace principles. We hope the newly created office environment, together with the conveniences of the Skanstes City district, will provide a strong foundation for productive and enjoyable work for the ERGO team. This project also exemplifies how office spaces from the previous decade can be effectively transformed into modern, design-oriented work environments with entirely new engineering systems, lighting, and acoustic solutions. The ERGO office project has undoubtedly raised the quality standard to a new level and will serve as a great reference for future office redevelopments at Skanstes City,” says Andris Kozlovskis, Board Member of SIA “Skanstes City.”

Located in Skanste, one of Riga’s most dynamic neighborhoods, the new office offers not only convenient access for employees and clients but also the advantages of a modern urban environment: a public park, diverse food venues, grocery stores, educational institutions, healthcare services, and event spaces—ensuring a well-rounded and convenient daily experience close to the workplace.

ERGO is one of the leading insurance companies in the Baltics, offering a wide range of services—including life, property, accident, and health insurance. The company is part of the ERGO Group, one of the largest insurance groups in Europe.

The Skanstes City office district is part of the real estate portfolio of SG Capital Partners Fund 1 KS. SG Capital Partners Fund 1 KS is a commercial real estate fund registered in Latvia and managed by SG Capital Partners AIFP, an alternative investment fund manager registered with the Financial and Capital Market Commission.
